Pumping Someone Else's Blood.

Hello, hello. I just got back from a grueling 2 hour swim workout followed by another 2 hours of basketball. Forgive me if I sound illiterate; I'm tired.

Next week is spirit week, and it sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun. We don't have to wear uniforms all week (Amazing) Tuesday is twin day, Wednesday is 80's day, Thursday is crazy hair day and Friday is jersey day.

On Tuesday, Leslie, Jynae, Morgan, and I are going to do a quadruplets thing. I'm not sure what we're wearing (Leslie dresses sporty, Jynae is kinda emo, Morgan is skater and I am...classic?). More on that once I know the details.

On Wednesday I want to do a lot of bright colors. I'm using this as my inspiration:

(That looks 80's, right?)

Thursday, I'll probably just spray my hair different colors or something.

Friday I'll be wearing my basketball jersey and jeans. Simple.

Have a good night!
Catherine!.

P.S. Sorry for the non-fashion related posts/not posting at all. I promise I'll update more often =]

Eat. Sleep. Swim.

I decided to dedicate this post to swimming, as it seems that that is all I do these days. I started swimming 6 months ago, because, like many others across the nation, Michael Phelps amazed and inspired me. I just thought he was the cutest little thing. And then I liked him. And then I was in fan-girl type love. And then I was in official love. Yeah, something like that. I thought that if I swam, I would go to the olympics, and Michael Phelps would fall madly in love with me and we'd be merry. Just like that. Boom boom boom. So my dad took me to the aquatic center one Monday and I said, "So, can I swim?" It was great. They were in the middle of a season so I was always in the lane with a higher time for different sets. I would do 100's in 3:00, while those around me did them at 2:30. I got the hang of it around November, and I just kind of started doing laps around those who were faster than me a couple of months ago. I quickly became one of the four fastest people on the team. With swimming, you can always tell when you're getting faster. Your coach will have you do 100's on 3:00, then 2:55, then 2:50, and so on. It's amazing how quickly you progress. Right now my practice sets for 100 frees are at 1:30, which I'm proud of.

My best stroke is breast stroke. I'm the fastest breast stroker on my team. My best events are the 100 breast and the 50 back, surprisingly. I'm actually not that great at the 50 free or 50 breast. Don't know why.

I've become very defensive of swimming. People always say that swimming is a piece of cake, which it is anything but. You know what I say? "You wouldn't make it through my warm up."

So, that's what I've been up to. How are youu?

Daydreamer with eyes that make you melt.

So, 2008 is coming to a close and 2009 is, what, 30 hours away? Wowza. I think this has been the fastest year of my life, although I'm sure that the years seem much shorter as we age.

Some of my resolutions are very specific, some are very broad. I have many resolutions about swimming - I have times that I want to have by the end of 2009 in the 50 back, breast, free, and the 100 breast. Another resolution is to compete in an IM (Individual Medley...where you do each stroke in one race.) I have a resolution to fill my wardrobe (my wardrobe is very tiny. I go to a uniform school, but this is my last year, so I hope to have a full closet by August.) and I also want to start going to mass often. I'm not saying every Sunday, perhaps every other Sunday.

This post wasn't fashion-related at all! A more fashionable post will be up tomorrow, hopefully. Or on New Years Day. If I don't talk to you soon, have a very safe, happy New Year! See you in 2009!

And then it was like...KABAM.

Right now I am craving a red little-drummer-boy coat. Aren't they just spectacular?

I Like To Sit In Chairs And You Prefer The Floor.

^^Hey! It's my "Mom-I'm-eating-a-pretzel-covered-in-garlic-stuff-from-the-Honey-Bee-Guy-why-are-you-taking-a-picture-of-me?" face!Isn't it lovely?!^^

Today was quite a fun day. We started the day by traipsing around in the snow, walked around Old Bisbee for a bit, had lavender earl grey tea, drove up the mountain and saw the waterfall, ate some yummy italian food, and finished off the day with Forrest Gump. I had planned to organize, clean, do some laundry, watch old films in my pj's, and have little peanut butter and jelly finger sandwiches, but I was more than happy to change my plans. I'll just do those things tomorrow, as I am trying to get as much rest as I can before my daunting 3 hour morning workout which is on Monday. And then again on Wednesday and Friday. So goes the life of a competitive swimmer. Sigh. Ah well, you can look at some of our photos.

....Sister and I.

....Old Bisbee. I would love to live here one day.

Well, that's all folks. I hope you had a lovely Saturday. I'm off to dream about antique couches on sandy beaches.

Forgive me first love.

Hello! Merry late Christmas! I went to Midnight Mass for the first time this year and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Then we slept, opened presents, played games, hung out, and ate in our pajamas. I love how casual Christmas is here in Arizona compared to what it used to be when we were in Virginia. How was yours? Let me know. I'd love to hear. I feel chatty today.

I also seem to be in a fashion-y mood. I've been endlessly searching Etsy and Ebay for vintage sweater vests and all things navy. I've also developed a strange crush on mugs. I'm not sure where this sudden obsession came from. I have my eye on a bunch over at Etsy and I bought a turquoise one for $4 at Target today and immediately had some peppermint hot cocoa with a considerably large amount of whip cream and crushed candy canes on top. Yumm.

I also bought these moccasins from Target. I used to think that moccasins were so ugly and then suddenly, out of the blue, I just fell for them. So I got them. They were only $12.

Target also has these fringe boots (Did I mention I want some fringe boots? Thank you StyleBytes.) for $34.99. They look a lot better in person, let me tell you. I don't think I'll get them, however. The color is just slightly off for my taste. I prefer these (from Forever 21):

Also, it snowed today. At around 11:00, it was 51 degrees. At 12-ish, the temperature started to drop quite quickly. 50, 49, 48, and now we're at ...

Brr! This is the lowest it's gotten all year. But everyone here is really excited. Snow is one of those once-a-year things.

Have an amazing rest of the day!

Lovely.

God is so glorious. How lucky I am to have found Him.
